The city of Dietikon is the fifth largest municipality in Zurich and also the district capital in the Limmattal with over 28,000 inhabitants. The Office for Supplementary Benefits, with 10 employees, administers the supplementary benefits for AHV/IV pensions and bridging benefits to the residents of the city of Dietikon, thereby ensuring an adequate minimum income for AHV/IV pensioners in modest circumstances.

To complement our team in the area of supplementary benefits for AHV/IV, we are looking for a qualified specialist as

Head of Supplementary Benefits for AHV/IV 90 - 100 %

Your Tasks

You lead the Office for Supplementary Benefits with ten employees in personnel, professional and organisational terms. In this role, you report to the Head of the Social Department. Your tasks include leadership according to the principles of "Positive Leadership" and "Empowerment" and accordingly coaching and promoting the employees. Planning resources as well as optimising processes and further developing controlling, quality management and strategic issues are central aspects of your work. Together with your employees, you ensure legally compliant processing and decisions on claims for supplementary benefits. You prepare accounts, reports and statistics for the canton. You also manage cases, advise applicants and are the contact person for complex social insurance law issues.

Your Profile

You have proven experience in the social insurance sector (social insurance specialist with a federal diploma), have several years of leadership experience in a comparable role, preferably in public administration, and possess strong communication skills, good negotiation skills and assertiveness. You promote a positive team culture and build trust and motivation. A positive attitude, quick comprehension and a flair for interconnected thinking and acting further characterise you. You are an initiative-taking, flexible and resilient personality with a high sense of responsibility. Your actions are solution-, resource- and cost-oriented.
