Job DescriptionAs Team Lead Cloud Engineering, you will take on the professional and personnel leadership of a specialised cloud engineering team. At the same time, you remain close to the technology and actively work on complex customer projects as well as on the further development of modern cloud and infrastructure platforms.
In this role, you act as the interface between engineering, customers, architecture, and management. You promote the development of your team, support technical queries, and contribute your experience to the design of future-proof cloud services. The role combines leadership with a pronounced hands-on component and is aimed at individuals who want to develop both people and technologies.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you are responsible for the operational and professional development of the cloud engineering area. You ensure that customer projects are successfully implemented, technical standards are adhered to, and the team is optimally prepared for future requirements.
Your tasks include:
- Professional and personnel leadership of a cloud engineering team.
- Promotion and development of employees through coaching, sparring, and knowledge transfer.
- Support in resource planning as well as coordination of tasks and priorities.
- Participation in the further development of the service and product portfolio.
- Active involvement in demanding cloud and infrastructure projects.
- Advising customers on technical questions and architectural topics.
- Support with complex technical challenges and escalations.
- Further development and standardisation of existing platform and operational models.
- Evaluation of new technologies, methods, and automation possibilities.
- Close collaboration with consulting, architecture, and sales teams.
For this position, we are looking for a technically skilled leader who wants to bring their experience in the cloud and infrastructure environment into a responsible role. You understand both the requirements of modern IT platforms and the challenges of a customer-oriented service environment.
You also bring:
- Completed training or degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience as a cloud engineer, system engineer, infrastructure consultant, or in a similar role.
- Initial or several years of experience in the professional or personnel leadership of employees.
- Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Azure environment as well as hybrid cloud architectures.
- Good knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies in the areas of servers, virtualisation, identity & access management, backup, monitoring, and automation.
- Experience in operating and further developing complex IT infrastructures.
- High customer orientation as well as strong communication skills.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style.
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
