Specialist for Large Excavator Products in French-speaking Switzerland / 100% Construction Machinery Service Technician (m/f)

Tasks

Large Excavator Product Specialist (20-50%):

• Technical support for the service and sales organisation as well as for customers in the French-speaking region as a product specialist in the field of Volvo large excavators
• Support internal training and personal development, ensure continuous, effective and quality training of service technicians in French-speaking Switzerland
• Ensure optimal internal information flow
• Close collaboration with internal and external sales teams, the workshop, dispatch, administration as well as suppliers in Switzerland and abroad
• Compliance with supplier guidelines and implementation of internal management processes
• Accompany and conduct customer training, demonstrations and machine deliveries
• Active participation in projects
• Overhaul, repair and maintenance of construction machines at the customer’s site or in our workshop at the Chavornay regional centre
• Independent procurement of spare parts in collaboration with our parts department
• Preparation of fault lists and quotations
• Technical advice to our customers on site and by telephone
• Support for the sale of spare and wear parts
• Responsibility for supervising and training apprentices at the Chavornay regional centre

Construction Machinery Service Technician (50–80%):

• Overhaul, repair and maintenance of construction machines at the customer’s site or in our workshop at the Chavornay regional centre
• Independent procurement of spare parts in collaboration with our parts department
• Preparation of fault lists and quotations
• Technical advice to our customers on site and by telephone
• Support for the sale of spare and wear parts
• Responsibility for supervising and training apprentices at the Chavornay regional centre

Requirements

• Basic training as a construction or agricultural machinery mechanic
• Further training as a diagnostic technician
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Solution-, customer- and company-oriented behaviour
• Interest in technology and problem-solving
• Stress resistance and thoughtful attitude
• Fluent French and good basic knowledge of German; knowledge of English is an advantage
• Good IT skills (use of standard applications)
