Intercultural Interpreters for Somali (hourly wage) / limited to 1 year
HEKS Linguadukt Interpreting Service is a placement agency for intercultural interpreting in over 70 languages and dialects. Linguadukt sees itself as a language bridge between professionals and their foreign-language clients. HEKS Linguadukt - intercultural interpreting service performs oral interpreting tasks in various institutions in the health, social, education, and asylum sectors.
We are looking to complement our team at the Zurich city location immediately or by arrangement for intercultural interpreters for the language: Somali
- Interpreting in conversations in hospitals, schools, and social institutions
- Ensuring communication between professionals and migrants with different cultural backgrounds
- Recognizing, understanding, and explaining social and cultural differences as well as structures, institutions, and ways of life
- Commitment to ongoing training (wide variety of internal, free offerings)
- The language is your mother tongue
- You have very good German skills (at least B2 with certificate)
- You have a good general education and diverse life experience
- Advantage: You have the INTERPRET certificate or are in training
- Advantage: First experience in interpreting
- You bring very good knowledge of both cultures
- You are a balanced and stable personality
- You are very skilled with your smartphone and mobile internet
- You have good technical equipment: PC/laptop with current firewalls and camera, stable internet connection
