About the job

As CTO and member of the executive management, you take responsibility for the technological foundation of the products. You bring together architecture, software engineering, DevOps, technical platforms and platform engineering, data, infrastructure and tooling into a modern, economical and scalable base.

Your contribution creates the conditions for the product streams to work faster and independently. You develop technology strategy, target architecture and roadmap and make key decisions in enterprise, solution, system, technology and data architecture.

What you achieve

What should evolve through your work:

You create reusability and clear standards in the technical platforms and platform engineering. At the same time, you build up and further develop internal technological competencies so that IGS can sustainably ensure its technological governance capability.

You establish and anchor technological principles, standards and decision-making processes. You make legacy, technical debt, lifecycle risks and dependencies transparent and actively manage them. In doing so, you ensure a secure, stable, high-performance and economical operation.

Equally important is your organisational impact: you develop teams, responsibilities and ways of working and build sustainable relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Why you succeed

You are an experienced leader with strategic clarity, technical judgement and a strong implementation focus. You have several years of leadership experience in a technology-intensive organisation and experience in building strong technical teams. In addition, you have the following experience:

Experience with technology and architecture transformations, legacy and grown structures

Solid experience in technology strategy and enterprise architecture; understanding of modern platform, cloud, data and integration architectures

Sound understanding of software engineering as well as practical experience with DevOps, GitOps, platform engineering and standardisation

Experience with external technology partners, lifecycle management and technical reviews

Entrepreneurial understanding of TCO and scalability

Excellent stakeholder skills as well as a university degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering or a comparable qualification
