Senior Security Engineer Network (m/f/d)

Role:
Stable networks and well-thought-out security architectures are the foundation of every modern IT. As a Senior Security Engineer Network, you actively shape this foundation and bring your experience to demanding projects. You rely on proven technologies such as Cisco and Fortinet. Hybrid environments with connections to Microsoft Azure are also part of your daily routine. You think strategically, work solution-oriented, and enjoy a lot of creative freedom.
Responsibilities:
You plan, implement, and optimise LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures including SD-WAN
You independently operate and harden firewalls, VPN access, and segmentation concepts
Furthermore, you analyse security incidents and derive effective countermeasures
You drive the further development of the network and security architecture according to zero-trust principles
Additionally, you provide professional support for projects and advise internal teams
You occasionally support deployments outside office hours
Qualifications:
A completed education in computer science or a comparable qualification forms your basis
You have at least 5 years of experience in network and security engineering
You are proficient in routing, switching, and protocols such as BGP or OSPF
Moreover, you are well versed in next-generation firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, and Network Access Control (NAC)
You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly, and keep an overview even under pressure
Furthermore, you are confident in German and comfortable with English technical documentation
