The Participation Coordination Office within the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs promotes and strengthens the participation of as many population groups as possible in social life and politics. The Participation Coordination Office is part of the Statistical Office of the Canton of Zurich.
The Coordination Office promotes political participation and strengthens the democratic competencies of the population. It also advocates for social participation and protection against discrimination. Sensitisation, communication, and the establishment of networks within the cantonal administration and with external partner organisations are central factors.

From August 2026 or by arrangement, we offer a twelve-month internship in the Coordination Office.
Your main tasks
- Participation in projects of the Coordination Office
- Scientific groundwork and research
- Collaboration in the field of communication
- Planning and execution of events
- Assistance with tasks for the Statistical Office (e.g. organisational development, change management).
Your profile
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in social or humanities sciences or similar relevant professional experience and skills
- Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and work independently
- Communicative and creative personality
- Experienced in using social media such as Instagram, LinkedIn or others
- Structured working method and enjoyment of organisational tasks
