Senior IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

You don’t just want to manage existing systems but actively shape how modern IT works for companies? Here you combine technical engineering with personal customer contact and versatile project work. You get to know your customers’ IT environments in detail, identify optimisation potential, and develop solutions that fit their actual needs. At the same time, you have the freedom to simplify processes, drive automation, and contribute your own ideas to technical development.
Responsibilities:
Design modern IT environments
You develop customer infrastructures with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Exchange Online further and ensure secure and reliable operation.
You support Windows Server and network infrastructures and find solutions for technical challenges in daily operations.
You connect classic infrastructure with modern cloud technologies and support the further development of efficient and secure IT workplaces.
Accompany projects from idea to operation
You plan and implement cloud and server migrations and lead technical projects from initial analysis to productive handover.
You further develop existing virtualisation and workplace environments and implement suitable solutions for different customer requirements.
You accompany the introduction and support of communication solutions such as Wildix and ensure smooth integration into the existing IT landscape.
Advise customers and drive improvements
You are a competent contact person for customers, understand their business requirements, and translate these into practical technical solutions.
You support support cases of varying complexity and analyse faults until a sustainable solution is found.
You automate recurring tasks, thereby creating more time for demanding technical tasks.
You question existing processes, bring in new ideas, and contribute to the further development of internal platforms and processes.
Qualifications:
You have a basic IT education, for example as an IT specialist EFZ, or a comparable qualification at HF, FH, or university level.
You have experience in system engineering and know the requirements in the customer environment; practical experience from an IT service company is especially welcome.
You are very familiar with Microsoft 365 and Windows Server and bring solid knowledge in network and security.
You enjoy independently implementing technical projects and translating different requirements into functioning solutions.
You can prioritise between urgent support requests and longer-term projects without losing overview.
You work independently, think ahead, and stay on your tasks until the solution is in place.
You are communicative, customer-oriented, and explain technical contexts so that even people without deep IT knowledge understand them.
You have very good German skills and understand Swiss German.
You can communicate in English; French skills are welcome.
