About the job
Living with mental health challenges can be demanding – both for the affected person and their environment. That is why the Interest Group for Social Psychiatry Zurich (IGSP) exists. It was founded 55 years ago out of the need to offer people accompanied and supported living arrangements.
Our goal: People with mental health challenges lead as independent a life as possible and can participate in society. Three points are central to this: We treat each other with respect and on an equal footing. We work purposefully with the resources that the client brings. And we see the individual person in their entirety.
The family-like residential group Linde is of a manageable size. The 11-room apartment provides a home for 8 adults with a mental health challenge and is located in a residential area near Albisriederplatz. The average age is 55 years. The focus of care is on maintaining stability and independence. The cultivation of communal living is highly valued. The support is assignment- and resource-oriented.
