The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is a leading intercantonal hospital. It currently employs around 2500 collaborators who work daily for the health of a population of nearly 200,000 inhabitants.
The Rennaz site, inaugurated at the end of 2019, has more than 300 acute care beds. It is complemented by two geriatric and rehabilitation clinics as well as two medical on-call services, in Monthey and Vevey.
The organisation places particular importance on balancing the human and technological aspects of care and has set ambitious goals in terms of patient experience, work culture, and responsibility towards public health.
In this context, and due to the upcoming retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking the future Human Relations Director who will be able to transform human potential into a lever for performance and meaning.
Human Relations Director at 100%
The main responsibilities of this position are
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and an active member of the Executive Committee, you assume overall responsibility for the human resources strategy. Your primary mission is to drive the development of the corporate culture and to transform the HR organisation to support the institution’s evolution and enhance its attractiveness. In close collaboration with the general management and operational departments, you define and deploy a vision that promotes leadership based on meaning, autonomy, and the values of authenticity, exemplary conduct, and innovation. You ensure legal compliance and administrative excellence while resolutely steering the department towards cultural development, health prevention, and change management support.
As a unifying leader, you lead a team of around thirty specialists. Your leadership is characterised by the ability to listen, negotiate, and unite around a common project, fostering a dynamic of trust and participation. You oversee training, occupational health, and talent management systems, ensure a work environment conducive to well-being, and maintain constructive dialogue with social partners.
As a strategic advisor, you actively participate in collective decisions, bringing your expertise on organisational and human issues. You will be the guarantor of the implementation of HR policy, ensuring that every decision supports the strategic axes of patient experience and HRC culture. Your ability to conceptualise a vision and translate it into operational reality will be essential to support managers in evolving their managerial practices and empowering their teams, thus making human capital the main lever of HRC’s performance.
We require
Holder of a university degree in human resources and management, you have proven and recent experience in a human resources management position, ideally within a complex organisation in the parapublic or hospital sector. Your career demonstrates a proven success in leading cultural and organisational transformations. You know how to reconcile administrative rigour with a human vision and have demonstrated your ability to develop a strong employer brand, manage peaceful social relations, and promote a caring and demanding leadership.
Your approach is distinguished by an open mind, strong integrity, and the ability to negotiate diplomatically. You know how to develop strategic visions and translate them into concrete action plans, involving stakeholders at all levels. You are comfortable with the challenges of digitalising HR processes and have an excellent knowledge of labour laws and collective agreements. As a member of the executive committee, you actively participate in meetings, express your opinion, and are comfortable positioning yourself on matters related to other hospital functions. You represent the executive committee externally by mandate and adopt a collegiate and constructive attitude.
