For our team at DECTRIS, we are looking for a committed and proactive Lead Safety Officer in a part-time position (50-60%). In this role, you will be the driving force for our occupational safety and health protection culture.
Your tasks
- Leadership and coordination of the safety organisation through networking and monitoring of intervention teams, expert teams, and area safety officers (KOPAS)
- Emergency organisation and crisis management
- Ensuring, maintaining, and continuously updating our safety management system in compliance with legal, operational, and normative requirements
- Assuming the role as the central communication interface of the safety team (e.g., by leading safety team meetings) and driving team activities including action tracking
- Defining, tracking, and ensuring long-term safety goals
- Responsibility for the overall overview of all hazards and risks present in the company as well as organising and coordinating internal/external assessments and audits
- Responsibility for the company-wide safety training programme and the continuous further education of the safety organisation and leadership teams
- Promoting a strong, company-wide safety culture with a focus on personal responsibility and safety awareness
- Option: With a suitable background, we offer the possibility to extend the workload by 40-50% and additionally take on the role of Sustainability Expert (see job posting as "Product Compliance and Sustainability Expert")
Your skills
- Completed degree in natural sciences or engineering
- At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant fields (semiconductor industry, chemical industry, plant or mechanical engineering)
- Proven experience in conducting occupational safety and health protection training
- A completed qualification as an ASGS specialist is a great advantage
- Strong interest in safety issues as well as a high quality and safety awareness
- Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and external collaboration
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on shaping and further developing our safety culture
- Fluent German and English at C1 level
