Junior Project Manager Engineering
About the position
As a Junior Project Manager Engineering, you will independently co-manage, coordinate and implement technical new build and refurbishment projects as well as process optimisations directly at the production site in Istighofen.
Your tasks
- Technical project management from A to Z: You are responsible for new build and refurbishment projects of systems, equipment or assemblies at the Istighofen site from the initial idea through tendering and realisation to the final completion check regarding performance, quality, deadlines and budget.
- Process optimisation in production: You analyse the existing manufacturing and business processes on site and develop concrete measures to increase system availability, energy efficiency and product quality.
- System digitalisation: You work closely with the Data Engineer to technically connect the production systems, set up data streams for monitoring and establish digital controls.
- Maintenance and infrastructure: You support the operations manager organisationally in the maintenance of the workshop hall and technical infrastructure and help to ensure occupational safety in the operation.
- Presenting results and engaging teams: You prepare project steps and technical changes in an understandable way, present them to the management and workshop teams, and directly involve the operational staff on site with the innovations.
Must-haves
- Doer mindset with high energy: You have a strong affinity and passion for technical issues, think in sprints and act as an initiator to independently start new projects.
- Bridge-builder qualities: You have the empathy to engage and involve factory workers in simple language. You are emotionally resilient and understand that change proposals in production can initially be perceived as criticism.
- Engineering degree: Completed studies (ETH/FH) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy technology or another engineering discipline.
- First practical experience: Initial experience in a production environment is an advantage, whether through an internship, a project or training.
- Language: Fluent Standard German.
Nice-to-have
- Car & driving licence: Advantageous for commuting as the location is not optimally connected.
- Project methodology: Initial contact with the logic of the stage-gate process.
- Experience in a manufacturing SME: First experience in project management of technical projects in a manufacturing SME.
