Head of Creditor Accounting Department

The Directorate General for Childhood and Youth (DGEJ) implements the cantonal policy for childhood and youth, structured around three missions: prevention, protection and participation. It guarantees children and young people in the canton support tailored to their needs, especially when their development or safety is at risk.

The Finance Unit of the Directorate General for Childhood and Youth (DGEJ) is advertising a position for Head of Creditor Accounting Department to complete its teams.

• Lead the creditor accounting department and manage its team;
• Organise, supervise and optimise processes related to general accounting and creditor subsidiary accounting;
• Co-manage general accounting and act as the point of contact for creditor subsidiary accounting;
• Manage the service’s operating and investment budgets and monitor budget consumption;
• Participate in setting and achieving the Finance Unit’s objectives and assist the Unit head and their deputy.

• Bachelor’s degree in economics (HES, UNI) or specialist diploma in finance and accounting;
• Required training in team management;
• Proven professional experience in accounting and team leadership;
• Excellent command of common IT tools;
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, SAP or another ERP system;
• Knowledge of financial processes and directives of the State of Vaud is an asset;
• Leadership with decisiveness and determination;
• Good self-control and stress management.
