About the job
Geneva Site & Workplace Manager (Geneva - Switzerland)
The FIA is looking for a Geneva Site & Workplace Manager to take ownership of its Geneva workplace as a strategic asset. You will combine workplace strategy with hands-on delivery, ensuring a safe, efficient and high-quality environment that evolves with our organisation and supports an excellent staff experience.
Reporting to the Head of Workplace, Health and Safety, you will lead the local workplace and facility management team, partner with business leaders and contribute to the continuous improvement and harmonisation of workplace practices across FIA locations.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shape the site strategy: Develop the medium-term vision for space, capacity, services and investment. Build clear scenarios and business cases for workplace, lease and fit-out decisions.
- Deliver workplace projects: Lead refurbishment, fit-out, relocation and improvement projects from planning and design through to handover, ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Run high-quality workplace services: Oversee hard and soft facility management services, set service standards, manage suppliers and contracts, and drive continuous improvement.
- Protect people and operations: Ensure effective Health & Safety, physical security, emergency preparedness, incident response and business continuity arrangements.
- Manage budgets and value: Control workplace and facility management budgets, prioritise investments and identify efficiencies without compromising safety, quality or employee experience.
- Lead and influence: Coach the local team, act as a trusted partner to business leaders and build alignment across internal stakeholders, landlords, consultants, contractors and service providers.
PROFILE:
What you bring
- Relevant degree in Facility Management, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience in workplace, real estate or facility management, including refurbishment, fit-out or workplace projects.
- Experience developing business cases and presenting clear investment options to senior decision-makers.
- Solid knowledge of hard and soft facility management, lease or asset management, budgets, procurement, contracts and supplier performance.
- Experience leading a small team and coordinating contractors, consultants and service providers.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety, physical security and business continuity.
- Fluent English and French.
An advantage: experience in an international or multi-site environment, hybrid workplace models, workplace change or employee-experience projects, and additional languages.
The profile we are looking for
You are forward-looking, pragmatic and service-oriented. You can move comfortably between strategic planning and practical execution, manage several priorities, challenge existing practices constructively and gain buy-in without relying on formal authority. You bring sound commercial judgement, clear communication and a strong sense of ownership.
Why join us?
- Take real ownership of the Geneva site and help shape its future.
- Lead visible workplace projects with a direct impact on staff and the organisation.
- Work closely with business leaders in an international, multi-site environment.
- Contribute to the development and harmonisation of workplace practices across the FIA.
