You are part of a highly committed team that wholeheartedly dedicates itself to the well-being of the children with special needs entrusted to you.
You work in an interdisciplinary team consisting of special educators, social educators in training, integrated occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The direct and uncomplicated exchange with 3 other small classes and experienced class assistants supports you in everyday life – you are not alone!
Connected by our shared values, we pull together and use the flexible environment of the private school for the ongoing development of the school. Together, we continuously further our education through supervisions, internal and external training offers. The SalZH Foundation has been running schools in Winterthur and Wetzikon and daycares in Winterthur since 2002.
What to expect
Together with a class assistant or a social educator in training, you lead a mixed-age small class of 3-5 students with special needs – this may include: ADHD diagnosis, developmental delay, ASD.
The class has a daily structure with a lunch table.
What you bring
You have the appropriate qualifications for primary school teaching or you hold a teacher diploma recognized by the EDK.
What we wish from you
You are a committed and structured person who supports and promotes children with ADHD, developmental delays, as well as children on the autism spectrum, on a scholastic, emotional, and social level. From your training (PH or HFH) or your experience (professional or leisure environment), you can lead children with special needs clearly and warmly and are aware of your role model function.
You strengthen the children’s self-confidence and self-efficacy through holistic support. You are willing to try new approaches for the students and gladly contribute to the pedagogical development of the school team.
