Medical Secretary at the Paediatric Cardiology Unit
The Paediatrics Service of the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) is seeking a medical secretary at an activity rate of 80% to 100%, on a permanent contract, for its Paediatric Cardiology Unit. The starting date is scheduled for 1 January 2027.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital Centre (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Within the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME), the Paediatrics Service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years. It works closely with other services in the department, including neonatology, paediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, gynaecology, and obstetrics.
The Paediatric Cardiology Unit provides specialised care for children and adolescents with cardiovascular conditions.
Mission
- You ensure the administrative coordination necessary for the smooth running and optimisation of the unit's activities
- You provide administrative support to the unit's lead physician
- You ensure the production, management, and transmission of medical documents and information, both internally and externally
- You contribute to the quality, development, and continuous improvement of the unit's services.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee and/or a medical secretary diploma, or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least five years of successful experience in the medical field
- You have excellent command of French spelling and good knowledge of medical terminology
- You demonstrate versatility, organisation, and autonomy, as well as an excellent sense of priorities and anticipation
- Your collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills enable you to ensure optimal follow-up of files and to work effectively with your various contacts
- You are comfortable in a busy environment and appreciate working in a multidisciplinary team
- You are proficient with common office tools (Windows, MS Office) as well as institutional digital tools.
