Project Controller 100%

starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

You will be responsible for group-wide project controlling and support our project and site management in the economic control of their projects. You will report to the Head of Finance and Controlling and work closely with the operational managers.

Your workplace is Gerlafingen or Rümlang – with regular presence at our sites in the German- and French-speaking parts of Switzerland and, if necessary, on construction sites.

Your tasks are varied, analytical and future-oriented:

• Accompanying our projects from order acceptance to completion: checking calculation bases, budgets and correct project structure in the ERP as well as analysing costs, hours, performance levels, productivity and margins
• Regular project meetings with project and site management as well as plausibility checks of completion status, remaining costs and result forecasts taking into account open commitments and risks
• Early detection and analysis of margin losses, cost overruns and billing risks as well as developing, tracking and, if necessary, escalating appropriate measures
• Monitoring performance and time recording, change orders and unbilled services as well as supporting billing readiness and billing obstacles
• Preparation of project evaluations and reports for monthly and annual financial statements, post-calculation of completed projects as well as further development of key figures, reports and ERP-supported processes including user training

What you bring:

• Commercial or technical basic training with further education in controlling, finance and accounting or business administration; alternatively, a corresponding degree with practical relevance
• Several years of experience in project controlling or a comparable function in project business; experience in construction or related trades is a great advantage
• Confident handling of Excel, ERP systems and reporting tools as well as experience with large data sets and improving data quality and reports; sound understanding of pre- and post-calculation, cost accounting, performance levels, remaining cost forecasts and project margins as well as commercial processes from order opening to final billing
• Analytical, structured and careful working style as well as the ability to trace deviations back to their causes and derive concrete recommendations for action
• Communicative and assertive personality who questions assumptions objectively and works constructively with project managers and executives
• Very good German and good French skills for collaboration with both language regions as well as willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland
