What you can achieve with us:

• Customer consulting & operations: You advise our customers on operational issues and accompany them throughout the entire installation process – from commissioning to successful completion.
• Commissioning & integration: You ensure the commissioning of customer installations via remote maintenance and work in complex infrastructure and integration environments.
• 3rd-level support: You take on demanding support cases for HIN gateways and analyse complex network, security, and mail flow problems.
• Testing & further development: You contribute to the development and testing of our appliances and actively bring in your experience.
• Documentation: You create and maintain operational documentation to ensure stable and comprehensible system landscapes.

What you bring with you:

• System engineer – several years of experience and solid knowledge of networks (SMTP, TCP/IP, firewalls, NAT), mail flow, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and cloud platforms
• Network & security – the focus of your role: You have in-depth knowledge of protocols, authentication, and encryption (e.g. SSH/SCP, SSL, NTLM/Kerberos). Experience with directory services and web technologies (LDAP/AD, HTTP/S, SAML, APIs) is part of your skillset. You have practical experience in DNS and troubleshooting (records, zones, MX).
• Virtualisation & infrastructure: You have experience with VMware (deployment, operation, backup of VMs) as well as in building and operating virtual networks (switches, bridges, interfaces) and knowledge of cluster setups (VMs or containers).
• Microsoft & Active Directory: You are familiar with Active Directory and group policies (GPOs) and have a good understanding of typical server roles (AD, DNS etc.). You work confidently in Windows environments (including registry) and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Defender.
• Mail & messaging: You have a solid understanding of mail flow and relevant protocols (SMTP, IMAP, M365) as well as experience with mail DNS (MX, SPF, DKIM) and in building modern mail structures (alias, routing, distribution lists). Additionally, you are familiar with Microsoft 365 (rules, connectors).
