The IAR Group AG based in Zofingen AG is a successful SME with around 20 employees. For over 45 years, we have supported industrial companies with innovative and flexible solutions in process automation. As recognised specialists in automation, robotics, special machine construction and quality inspection systems, we develop customised concepts for our customers. Together with our sister companies, we operate internationally – with locations in Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Portugal and Spain.

What you will do with us

• Overall responsibility for the Zofingen site in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Project Management as well as Assembly and Commissioning
• Leadership and further development of the engineering and project teams with a focus on performance, collaboration and employee development
• Ensuring successful project execution regarding deadlines, costs, quality and customer satisfaction
• Management and prioritisation of resources, capacities and budgets in collaboration with the COO
• Promotion of cross-departmental collaboration between engineering, project management, service, assembly and commissioning
• Close cooperation with the locations of the international IAR Group to optimally utilise engineering, manufacturing and assembly capacities (travel activity approx. 20%)
• Introduction, implementation and continuous improvement of standards, processes, key figures and best practices
• Early identification of project risks and initiation of appropriate measures to ensure project success
• Support of sales and application technology in technically demanding customer projects
• Participation in the strategic further development of the IAR Group in the areas of technology, standardisation and operational excellence

What you bring with you

• You are an entrepreneurial-minded leader with a hands-on mentality
• Several years of leadership and project experience in automation, special machine construction, mechanical engineering or plant engineering
• Experience in leading engineering or project organisations
• Sound knowledge in mechanics, automation, electrical engineering or systems engineering
• Technical basic training with further education at HF, FH level or similar
• Experience in successfully managing projects regarding deadlines, costs, quality and margin
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills as well as the ability to motivate and develop employees
• Enjoyment of working in an international environment
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
