Responsible Institutional Fundraising (80% - 100%)
The Fundraising and Marketing department is responsible for the development and implementation of a successful fundraising strategy for the projects of Caritas Switzerland both domestically and abroad. Target groups include individuals, companies, and institutions. The Institutional Fundraising team focuses on national and international foundations, cantons, and municipalities as well as churches, thereby making a significant contribution to the sustainable financing of projects for people in need.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Responsible Institutional Fundraising.
Your tasks
- Within the Institutional Fundraising team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of institutional donors supporting our international projects. These include foundations, municipalities, and cantons as well as church institutions.
- Building and maintaining contacts with new and existing donors is one of your core tasks. You will ensure targeted support for existing partners, monitor the donor landscape, and identify potential new donors.
- In close collaboration with project managers, you will prepare funding applications, contribute to accountability reports, and engage in project development.
- You will ensure data maintenance in the CRM system, plan, and organize mailings to donors.
Our requirements
- You have at least three years of experience in a comparable position and hold a university degree or equivalent qualification.
- You possess solid knowledge in key account management and can demonstrate successes in acquiring and managing institutional donors from your previous professional experience.
- Your native language is German or French. You have a very good command of the other language as well as English, both spoken and written.
- You know how to apply your service-oriented mindset, confident demeanor, and negotiation skills in contact with donors.
- You enjoy delving deeply into a topic and processing it into convincing communication materials. You are characterized by a stylish and precise language. Writing texts brings you joy.
- You work independently, focused, and always goal-oriented.
- You have no trouble coordinating and advancing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining an overview even in challenging times.
- You are creative, open, solution-oriented, and a team player.
- You have good MS Office skills and a high affinity for CRM systems.
- You have an interest in development and social policy issues and identify with Caritas Switzerland and its values and goals.
- You are flexible and willing to undertake some travel.
The workplace is in Lucerne or Geneva, with 50% of the workload possible from home. For the Geneva location, at least one day every two weeks at the headquarters in Lucerne is required.
Start of work: Immediately or by agreement.
