Application Manager: Clinical Applications

The Directorate of Technology and Innovation (DTI) is responsible for technology management at Insel Group. To ensure the operation of medical applications and systems within the Clinical Applications team, we are looking for an Application Manager.

What to expect

• Together with your team, you are responsible for the operation, further development, and life-cycle management of your applications, ensuring comprehensive documentation and budgeting of financial resources
• You act as the interface between clinics, IT, and external service providers
• You analyse requirements and translate them into sustainable solutions while adhering to the processes and standards of Insel Group IT
• You ensure system availability, conduct error analyses, propose improvements to support clinical processes
• You plan and coordinate updates, releases, and rollouts in close coordination with the clinics
• You actively contribute to the implementation of data protection and data security policies—especially in handling sensitive patient data—and take the lead on smaller projects

What you bring

• Completed higher education as an IT specialist, e.g. business informatics, medical informatics
• Ideally, professional experience in healthcare or hospital environments as well as experience in application management according to ITIL
• Good knowledge in operating systems, complex IT infrastructures, and database systems
• Analytical, interconnected thinking as well as conceptual and planning skills
• Independent, structured, proactive working style and high initiative
• Experience with AI and cloud solutions is a plus, and knowledge in information and data security completes your profile
• Leadership, organisational and planning skills combined with good communication abilities further distinguish you
