Cloud Platform & Azure Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
A versatile position at the interface of Azure Cloud, Platform Engineering and IT Security offers the opportunity to actively further develop a modern cloud infrastructure. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who combines stable operational processes with consistent automation and high security standards.
You are responsible for central platform services and simultaneously support in case of disruptions, migrations and technical optimisation. In doing so, you work with various internal teams and translate requirements from security, architecture and operations into robust and standardised Azure solutions.
Responsibilities:
Administration and optimisation of central Azure platform components as well as building standardised cloud operating models
Technical implementation of identity, access and security concepts with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access and Zero-Trust principles
Management of Azure networks, DNS, private endpoints, key vaults and other platform services
Development and enhancement of monitoring, logging and alerting solutions as well as ensuring transparent operations management
Automation of provisioning and operations with Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI and CI/CD pipelines
Support with technical security measures, recovery concepts, compliance requirements and optimisation of cloud resources and costs
Qualifications:
Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable technical qualification
Several years of practical experience with Microsoft Azure and operating secure cloud platforms
Very good knowledge of Azure security, IAM, cloud networking, monitoring and operational system support
Experience with infrastructure as code, Azure DevOps, Git and modern CI/CD processes
Independent and reliable working style, strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly
Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills; further training or certifications in Azure administration, security or cloud operations are a plus
