What you can contribute

• Develop and lead scientific concepts, implementation plans and complex projects in the areas of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Signals, military EW systems as well as telecommunications, representing the unified data platform vis-à-vis the procurement authority and industry in the role of the main user representative
• Independently conduct advanced signal, spectrum, interference and protocol analyses and be responsible for the integrated signal laboratory (ISL) as well as support the foundational work in the areas of decoder development, signal generation for effect systems and reverse engineering
• Develop, plan and conduct experiments within the framework of Concept Development and Experimentation (CD&E) and lead internal and external units focusing on signal and protocol analysis
• Develop scientific concepts, studies and analyses across organisations and specify innovation projects and their implementation jointly with armasuisse W+T and/or industry partners

What makes you unique

• Degree as an engineer, physicist or mathematician ETH or university degree with many years of professional experience
• Additional training in project management or extensive project leadership/programme management experience is an advantage
• High initiative, a strong service- and solution-oriented working style as well as assertiveness and good communication skills
• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language as well as good English skills

As a systems engineer electronic operations, you work in a small team of specialists in the area of the Center of Excellence Signals. You work on radio frequency (RF) signal analyses as well as experiments in the laboratory and in the field and on projects in a dynamic, intelligence and electromagnetic environment.
