Office for Higher Education | 40-60% | Chur

The Bündner Cantonal School is an important educational institution with around 1,000 students of all three cantonal languages. As a department of the Office for Higher Education, it offers secondary school education programs at the long- and short-term gymnasium as well as at the specialized, commercial, and computer science secondary schools. As a teacher for history, you will teach students at the gymnasium, the specialized and commercial secondary schools, as well as at the computer science secondary school.

We are looking for a teacher for history for our school starting August 1, 2026.

Your area of responsibility

Teaching activities in the subject area of history at the gymnasium as well as at the specialized, commercial, and computer science secondary schools
Organization and implementation of project weeks, class events, and excursions in a team with other teachers
Taking on various tasks within the subject department
Participation in development projects of the comprehensive school

What we expect from you

Completed university degree in the teaching subject history as well as a teaching diploma for Matura schools (higher teaching qualification)
Teaching experience at secondary level II and a qualification in another subject are advantageous
Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented personality who enjoys working with young people. We also expect a communicative person who takes responsibility and is happy to engage in school life
As a teacher at the trilingual school, knowledge of other cantonal languages completes your profile
