The Special Education School Centre (HPSZ): One school - four locations. We teach and support our pupils holistically and individually from kindergarten age to school leaving. Our diverse educational offer enables good academic, social and personal development. For the HPSZ Olten we are looking for a psychomotor therapist, 59% to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your responsibilities
- In your role, you promote children through movement and play in the designated psychomotor room at the Sälipark and Usego locations. You design a movement space for up to 8 children, taking into account psychomotor aspects. The required percentage is scheduled for Wednesday mornings, as well as Thursdays and Fridays (13-17 lessons).
- You conduct varied psychomotor sessions in small groups and design movement landscapes according to psychomotor aspects such as vestibular stimulation, promotion of cognitive, sensory and motor development, creation of opportunities for social interactions among children, promotion of emotional development and emotion regulation, provision of materials for safe-place installations, promotion of exploratory ability also in terms of self-efficacy.
- In exchange with the existing psychomotor team of 2 people and in close cooperation with the class teachers, you evaluate the developed support goals in the learning report of children in individual and small group therapy. You provide advice to teachers and social pedagogues.
- You perform administrative tasks related to teaching (lesson planning, writing short reports where necessary, coordination with teachers, etc.).
Your profile
- You hold a certificate as a psychomotor therapist.
- You enjoy working in a small team as well as working with children in the cognitive and behavioural support area. You are characterised by your communication skills.
- You engage with the individual needs of our children and the close cooperation in an interdisciplinary whole-school team.
- You are a resilient, creative, flexible and humorous personality.
