Associate Psychologist at the Liaison Psychiatry Service

As part of a pilot project aimed at improving access to psychological care for LAVI victims, the Liaison Psychiatry Service (PLI) of the Department of Psychiatry is seeking an associate psychologist at 70%, for a fixed-term contract of one year, starting 1 November 2026.

Context

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.

The specialised Liaison Psychiatry Unit (UPLS) is attached to the CHUV Liaison Psychiatry Service. It offers specialised psychological and psychiatric consultations, coordinates liaison psychiatry activities within several departments of the institution and provides professional supervision for staff involved in these services.

The position is part of a cantonal pilot project aimed at improving access to psychological care for victims of offences (LAVI), by promoting early, coordinated and tailored care for situations of psychological distress.

Mission

• You conduct specialised clinical assessments following referral by LAVI partners
• You offer early psychotherapeutic interventions to prevent the chronicity of mental disorders
• You contribute to directing patients towards the resources best suited to their situation
• You collaborate with emergency services, network partners and professionals involved in care
• You participate in reducing waiting times for specialised care and in preventing follow-up interruptions
• You contribute to the development of the pilot project and the continuous improvement of services.

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in psychology and a recognised specialist psychologist title in psychotherapy
• You have a specialisation in psychotraumatology
• You hold a practising licence in the canton of Vaud (AP-VD) or commit to obtaining it within six months of starting
• You have experience managing complex clinical situations
• You have a strong interest in interdisciplinary work, liaison psychiatry and collaboration with somatic medicine teams
• You show an interest in research and local teaching
• You demonstrate excellent organisational skills, autonomy and enjoy working in a network
• Experience in liaison psychiatry is an asset
• For non-French-speaking candidates, a B2 level French certificate is required.
