WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!
Our small, lively rural school community Meistersrüte near Appenzell is looking for an engaged and team-oriented Specialist in School Special Education (SHP) for Cycle 1 at 40% employment starting August 1, 2026.
We are an open-minded, small team that works with a lot of passion, appreciation, and joy for and with the children. Team collaboration and a child-centered perspective are at the heart of what we do.
As a School Special Educator (SHP), you will support students in Cycle 1 within the framework of integrative support. You assist children with special educational and support needs in their learning, development, and socio-emotional areas. This takes place both in classroom teaching (co-teaching/team teaching) and in small groups or individual settings. In close cooperation with the class teachers, you plan differentiated learning arrangements, advise on handling heterogeneity, and contribute to ensuring that all children can participate in lessons.
You observe learning and developmental processes, conduct learning assessments and special education diagnostics, and create as well as evaluate support plans with clear objectives. With your special education expertise, you make an important contribution to the further development of an inclusive school culture and the quality of integrative support at our school.
What you bring:
You work with joy and passion with children and approach them with appreciation and a resource-oriented attitude. Integrative support is important to you, and you value close collaboration with class teachers. You bring team spirit, enjoy thinking ahead together, and are open to new ideas and developments. Additionally, you have completed training in School Special Education or are currently undergoing training.
