At the Geeren Retirement Center in Seuzach, elderly people find a new home, individual care, and a diverse range of activities and events. With warmth and competence, we ensure a varied daily life and the highest possible quality of life in every phase of aging. An interdisciplinary team provides professional and attentive care and support around the clock. Volunteers also contribute to the well-being of the residents. Volunteer work is a contribution to fellow human beings and the environment and belongs to the field of social work. It should be possible for all population groups to participate in social tasks and jointly assume social responsibility. The Geeren Retirement Center is a member of the Winterthur Volunteer Agency (www.benevol.ch). We are looking for motivated, reliable people of all ages who would like to get involved with us at the Geeren Retirement Center in Seuzach as volunteer staff. You will get to know the elderly people, expand your social skills, and thus learn what moves older people. In doing so, you make a valuable contribution to the well-being of our fellow human beings. Enriching encounters are guaranteed! We are seeking your support in the following areas:
  • Regular visits to our residents with walks in the retirement center's park
  • Reading aloud in groups
  • Participation in the craft, art, or baking group
  • At cultural afternoons with dance and music
  • Driving the minibus and accompanying on walks Have we sparked your interest and can you imagine volunteering in one or more areas?
