The innovative and sustainable company Steinauer AG Recycling & Environmental Service, based in the canton of Schwyz, operates one of the most modern recycling centres in Switzerland. To be even closer to customers, an additional collection point was established in Lachen/SZ. For compacting cardboard, foil, aluminium cans and plastic collection bags, a baler with conveyor belt was planned.

Following our recommendation, the customer decided to invest in an Abba 600 V5. This compact, efficient Mobile Baler takes up significantly less space than a baler with conveyor belt and is therefore extremely attractive in price.

Equipment

The ALBAMAT 600 V5 with a 30 kW motor can be operated on a 63 A power connection. To provide enough space for the extra-large hopper, the hydraulics were positioned on the pressing channel. It features a special programme for processing aluminium cans, a hydraulic needle lock to compact small plastic parts without disruption, a remote control, a soft starter and a status lamp indicating whether the press is ready for operation.

The following options were included: 2 colours of choice, free pusher, oil cooler, light barrier in the shaft, tank and control cabinet heating, 10 programmes for different materials, binding starter set, hydraulic oil, lifting hook and 2 discharge rollers as well as a floor scraper that reduces contamination by fine material and thus ensures a smooth binding process, especially with splintering and tiny materials.

Steinauer AG Recycling & Environmental Service has been operating the Abba 600 V5 since 1 March 2021. The customer appreciates the efficient further processing of cardboard and the space-saving storage of bales (stackable up to six high). The separately purchased electro-pneumatic loader is an ideal complement to the Mobile Baler and facilitates various tasks with different recyclable materials.
