We are looking for a Deputy Cantonal Medical Officer (m/f/d) from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement

Deputy Cantonal Medical Officer (m/f/d)

• Support and deputise for the Cantonal Medical Officer
• Assessment of medical and health policy issues as well as advising authorities
• Ensuring the enforcement of the Epidemics Act, assessment of addiction medicine issues, and implementation of the Narcotics Act
• Processing of expert opinions on parliamentary initiatives
• Coordination and management of projects
• Representation of the Cantonal Medical Office in expert committees, commissions, and working groups

• Completed studies in human medicine
• Several years of medical professional experience
• Sound knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system
• Interest in public health and health policy contexts
• Willingness to undertake special assignments outside office hours
• Confident and communicative manner
• Foreign language skills (English, French) are an advantage
