The Commercial Vocational and Continuing Education Center St.Gallen trains around 1,700 apprentices in commercial professions, retail professions, as pharmacy specialists, as well as druggists. 100 vocational school teachers and an efficient administration ensure the school operation.

Teacher for French (m/f/d)
Starting August 1, 2026
Workload: 20%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
You will teach prospective commercial employees and retail apprentices according to the new reform and in the vocational baccalaureate department (BM 1 / BM 2). Depending on the department, the assignment can take place during the day, in the evening, or on Saturday.
In addition to your enjoyment of working with young adults, you bring the willingness for team teaching and new teaching and learning methods (blended learning) and are ready to contribute to the subject group and also participate in interdisciplinary teaching and school projects.
What distinguishes you
- a teaching diploma officially recognized for baccalaureate schools is mandatory
- subject-specific university degree
- additional module for vocational pedagogical qualification or willingness to acquire it
- teaching experience at vocational or secondary school level is an advantage
- practical experience in the field of expertise
- committed and team-oriented teacher
- openness, motivation, and curiosity towards new (technological) developments and topics
