Field of activity
The candidate's work will focus on different research fields in the art history and archaeology of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds from an interdisciplinary perspective, particularly in the anthropology of images and history of material culture
The candidate is expected to participate in the activities of the Institute of the Ancient and Byzantine World as well as various Swiss archaeological institutions
Requirements
The candidate holds a doctorate and a habilitation or qualifications deemed equivalent. He/she possesses the scientific skills required to teach and supervise work at the Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate levels

The language of instruction is French. The University of Fribourg is bilingual (French/German). Knowledge of the second language (oral level B1) is expected. If this is not the case, it must be acquired within two years following the start of employment
