Your tasks

You will handle demanding matters at the interface of law and politics. In doing so, you will

• lead legislative projects;
• instruct administrative and supervisory complaint procedures;
• respond to parliamentary initiatives and prepare consultations on cantonal or federal proposals;
• instruct state liability proceedings;
• advise our Director of Security and our Secretary-General on legal, political and strategic issues;
• handle selected cross-sectional topics or enforcement tasks, such as in public procurement law or victim support.

Your profile

You are right for us if you

• have a law degree with a lawyer’s licence;
• possess above-average professional qualifications;
• have several years of professional experience, preferably in public administration;
• have a good grasp and analytical thinking skills;
• act in a solution-oriented manner and work independently and in a structured way;
• are socially competent, a team player, self-initiated and flexible;
• are interested in political contexts;
• are motivated to make a difference and actively contribute to the further development of the Security Directorate.

The Directorate Secretariat fulfils staff, planning, coordination and advisory functions for the Director of Security and the offices of the Security Directorate. With the Zug Police, the Road Traffic Office, the Civil Protection and Military Office, the Justice Enforcement Office and the Migration Office, the Security Directorate has an interesting and varied range of tasks.
