Group Controller (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, the person coordinated and consolidated the monthly closings and ensured the timely preparation of reports and analyses. They acted as the central interface to the financial managers of the business units and country subsidiaries and independently managed the group’s planning and budgeting process. Additionally, they led the coordination and preparation of the group’s annual financial statements and expanded and continuously optimised the existing reporting system and related processes. They contributed to operational and strategic projects concerning the company’s orientation and development, sometimes taking the lead. As a sparring partner, they supported the CFO and CEO.
Responsibilities:
- You coordinate and consolidate the monthly closings
- You ensure the timely preparation of reports and analyses
- You are the interface to the financial managers of the business units and country subsidiaries
- You independently manage the group’s planning and budgeting process
- You lead the coordination and preparation of the group’s annual financial statements
- You build up, expand, and optimise the existing reporting system and processes
- You contribute to operational and strategic projects related to the company’s orientation and development and lead some of them
- As a sparring partner, you support the CFO and CEO
Qualifications:
- You have a completed higher business degree (FH/Uni) with a focus on accounting and controlling
- You bring at least 8 years of professional experience, preferably in the retail or service sector
- You possess very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with AX Dynamics or other ERP systems
- Knowledge of consolidation software such as LucaNet is an advantage
- You demonstrate a high level of service and customer orientation, have strong communication skills and team spirit
- Fluent German and English skills
- Dutch language skills are an advantage
