Role:
In this role, you plan, implement, and operate modern network and security solutions with high demands on stability, availability, and protection. You take responsibility for complex network and firewall infrastructures and ensure their reliable operation. You continuously develop and modernise existing environments. In demanding customer projects, you bear the technical responsibility and apply your experience purposefully to design future-proof solutions. As a Senior System Engineer Network, you significantly shape the quality and security of sophisticated IT infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
- You plan and execute network projects from design and conception to successful commissioning
- In this role, you operate, optimise, and further develop modern network and firewall infrastructures
- As a Senior System Engineer Network, you ensure the stability, security, scalability, and availability of network infrastructures
- You analyse complex faults in 3rd level support, resolve them sustainably, and contribute your troubleshooting experience
- In this role, you work closely with colleagues from systems engineering and security to develop integrated IT architectures
- As a Senior System Engineer Network, you identify risks and vulnerabilities early, derive security measures, and continuously improve network and security environments
Qualifications:
- You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ and ideally further education at HF, FH level or a comparable qualification
- You bring several years of experience in network engineering or a comparable role
- You have solid knowledge in routing, switching, WLAN, and firewall technologies as well as practical experience with FortiGate firewalls
- You are familiar with operating and further developing network environments based on Aruba, Juniper, or Cisco
- You have experience in planning and implementing infrastructure projects such as network modernisations, migrations, or firewall concepts
- You work analytically, structured, and solution-oriented, appreciate teamwork, and have very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form
