GLOWH Trainee
Würenlingen, AG, CH, 5303
With us, you can expect diverse and challenging fields of activity, where we always pay attention to health, safety and environmental awareness. We place great importance on you being able to balance your professional and private life. A collegial working atmosphere, fair employment conditions and the promotion of your personal development are a matter of course for us.
Some see only dust, grey walls and lots of CO2 in a cement plant. We see the heart chamber, the opportunity for the sustainable transformation of the modern world. And we are looking for university graduates who are ready to redefine the rhythm of this heart chamber.
Why you?
Because you want more than just desk work: you want to see your ideas grow, from the plan to the finished building. Your (technical) university studies (mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering or industrial engineering) were the start for you to get things moving. You want to leave your comfort zone and go where theory meets practice, in an environment that pulses, values authenticity and where decisions are made collectively. You see yourself as a leader who does not shine through status but by taking responsibility and inspiring teams.
Your 12-month expedition, starting in summer 2026
We won’t throw you in at the deep end, we’ll take you to the fire. In our graduate programme, you will get to know the cement business from the ground up, from today’s production to the climate-neutral future.
Learning instead of knowing: Your curiosity and questions are not only welcome but encouraged! At the same time, you will receive practical insights, networking platforms and knowledge from us.
People instead of hierarchies: Become part of the Holcim team and experience our open, hands-on team culture and our good employment conditions.
Transformation live: You won’t be working on PowerPoint slides about sustainability, but implementing it directly in production.
Prospects for more: We don’t train you for "anything". Together, we are building the plan to develop you as a NextGen Leader in the cement sector.
What you bring with you (besides your university degree)
The "doer" mentality: You are not afraid to get stuck in, nor of safety shoes and a helmet.
Curiosity as a drive: You want to know why a screw is loose and how to halve the CO2 footprint of a tonne of clinker.
Resilience: When the kiln stops, you keep calm.
Leadership gene: You can inspire people, listen and take responsibility.
What we offer you (besides the foundation for your career)
Mentoring at eye level: Our Plant Manager is your sparring partner - open, honest, direct.
Impact: You work on the biggest challenge of our industry: building the future without emissions.
Security & freedom to act: The strength of a global market leader behind you, the freedom of a local plant in front of you.
Ready to start your career?
We are not looking for perfect CVs, we are looking for real personalities.
If you want to not only manage but reinvent the foundation of Switzerland, then get in touch.
Let’s not talk about jobs. Let’s talk about your future at the plant. I, Angela, look forward to your application!
