Senior Electronics Engineer (R&D) – Industrial Devices

At our development centre in Wil SG, we realise technical products for startups, SMEs as well as global companies – from medical and laboratory technology to household appliances and industrial products. For demanding development projects in the field of Industrial Devices & Components, we are looking for a qualified individual.

Area of Activity

As part of our team, you will take responsibility for the electronics in interdisciplinary development projects and be capable of independently implementing software for microcontroller applications. You master the entire development cycle from idea generation to series support. You plan and develop concepts and solutions considering costs, functionality, and lead time, without losing sight of regulatory requirements.

In varied projects, you independently develop PCBs in our Altium environment. You also take care of the hardware-near software and its integration into the overall system. Your tasks as a developer also include building prototypes, commissioning, supporting verification tests, or optimising EMC of the overall system in our EMC laboratory. You are flexible and entrepreneurial in thinking, show a flair for innovative solutions, and enjoy their practical implementation.

Requirements

• Degree as an electrical engineer (ETH, FH, TU)
• Further training in software is an advantage
• Many years of experience (>5 years) in the development of electronic subsystems based on current PCB technologies
• Experience in the development and integration of hardware-near software in C and C++
• Broad expertise in analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based circuit technology
• Experience in power electronics and electrical drive technology is an advantage
• You have high social and communication skills as well as enjoyment in collaborating in interdisciplinary project teams
• You are strong in finding solutions to conceptual questions, work systematically, and have a pronounced system understanding for complex assemblies
• You can pragmatically implement concepts into prototypes and series products
• You quickly familiarise yourself with new questions and subject areas
• You have good German and English skills (written and spoken)
