The AI Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing a transformation and is establishing a modern corporate and management culture. The Service Centre is the service hub of the AI Office of the Canton of Bern and ensures the efficiency, uniformity and quality of processes, services and benefits.
With the new Service Centre Branches team, we bring together around a dozen employees from the Biel, Berthoud and Thun sites into a common inter-site team. As team leader, you actively participate in this transformation. You create links between the sites, support the development of your employees and reconcile regional needs with the common orientation of the Service Centre. You regularly visit the three branches as well as the headquarters in Bern. For this multifaceted role, we are looking for a bilingual (D/F) personality with strong leadership skills who drives change with commitment.

What you can bring to us

• You lead and develop a team of around a dozen employees at the Biel, Berthoud and Thun sites. Thanks to your regular presence on site, you promote closeness and engagement.
• You develop a shared vision within the team and foster collaboration based on trust between the different sites and other teams of the Service Centre.
• You plan interventions, holidays and absences according to needs and ensure flexible use of resources.
• You gather the needs of the branches and coordinate the provision of services with the branch managers.
• In collaboration with the team leaders of Back Office, Front Office and Entries & Exits, you ensure that business guidelines and quality standards are implemented uniformly.
• You encourage standardised working methods and versatility among employees so that tasks can be handled flexibly across all sites.
• As a member of the Service Centre management team, you actively participate in the development of processes, services and organisational structures.

• You have a basic commercial education and ideally a higher professional qualification, such as a federal certificate as a team leadership specialist or a diploma as a business economist ES.
• You have at least three years of experience in team leadership and have already led an inter-site or decentralised team.
• You lead with clarity, respect and consistency, and you know how to support, coach and empower employees in a targeted manner.
• You have a keen sense of planning and organisation as well as experience in resource and intervention planning.
• You have experience in process management or organisational development and want to evolve working methods together with those involved.
• You know how to consider and balance different interests and needs in order to develop viable solutions.
• Experience in customer service, back office or a comparable service organisation is an advantage.
• You communicate confidently and appropriately for the audience. Very good knowledge of German as well as French skills at least at B2 level are required.
• Regular personal exchange with your team is an important element of good team leadership for you. That is why you are willing to be present every week at the Biel, Berthoud and Thun branches and to travel between sites.
