Test Engineer, 100% in Zug

Key responsibilities:

We are looking for a Test Engineer to help our engineering team deliver reliable mobile telecom provisioning, data-processing, and analytic services. You will work closely with our developers to design, automate and run tests across our platform, from backend services and APIs to the SIM Portal web application. The role also covers end-to-end testing of mobile network functionality and our BSS (provisioning, rating, charging and billing) systems, so hands-on experience in the mobile telecom domain is a strong advantage.

Candidates should have 4+ years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

Candidates should have deep understanding / extensive experience in the general quality engineering areas of:

• Designing test strategies, test plans and test cases for complex, distributed systems
• Building and maintaining automated test suites (functional, integration, regression and end-to-end)
• Testing APIs and backend services, including validating data flows end to end
• Reporting defects clearly and working with developers to reproduce, triage and resolve them

Candidates should have significant experience with the following technologies / in these technical areas:

• Test automation in Python (e.g. pytest)
• Testing RESTful APIs and gRPC services
• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL) for test data setup and result validation
• UI test automation for web applications (e.g. Playwright, Cypress or Selenium)

 Candidates should have experience with:

• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Docker and containerized test environments
• Source control (git), collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)

Preference given to candidates who have:

• Experience in mobile telecom: SIM/eSIM lifecycle, subscriber provisioning, roaming, voice/SMS/data services, or core network elements (HLR/HSS, PCRF, Diameter)
• Experience testing BSS systems such as rating, charging, billing, CDR processing or order management
• Field or device testing on mobile handsets and networks
• Experience testing OAuth/OIDC authentication flows
• Performance and load testing experience (e.g. Locust, k6)
• Listed examples of open-source work (e.g. github accounts)
