Head of the Patents Division (m/f) 100% - Member of the Management
In this role, you assume overall responsibility for leading the Patents Division strategically, technically, financially, organisationally and in terms of personnel. You provide direction, set clear priorities and create the framework conditions that allow experts to act independently. Together with the Management, you contribute to the development of the entire IPI and assume responsibility for joint decisions. You ensure customer-oriented and economically efficient services, encourage interdivisional collaboration and specifically develop processes and skills in view of digitalisation and AI. You represent the IPI with credibility and institutional skill to political, economic and scientific circles as well as to national and international partner organisations.
A leadership personality with a long-term vision
You have solid experience in management and leadership within a complex organisation composed of experts or knowledge-based. You know how to lead by providing clear direction, building trust and setting precise expectations. You confidently manage complex governance structures and the divergent interests of stakeholders; within the management body, you act in a spirit of consensus and teamwork.
A degree from a university of applied sciences forms your academic basis; excellent business management knowledge as well as a profound understanding of financial, organisational and strategic issues are essential. A scientific or technical education, experience in a regulated or innovation-focused environment and knowledge of intellectual property are assets. Your ability to think strategically and entrepreneurially, your empathy, political sensitivity and aptitude for leading change are decisive. You have an excellent command of German and solid knowledge of French; a good command of English is an advantage.
