In the team of Supply Chain Management in our SCM department, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Strategic Buyer SCM. Shape the future of mobility with us. In this versatile role, you will be responsible for strategic procurement projects, further develop international supplier partnerships and drive cost, quality and process optimisations. With your commitment and expertise, you strengthen the performance of our supply chain and create sustainable added value for the HESS Group.

Your Tasks

• Technical responsibility for the assigned product groups
• Independent management and implementation of procurement and supply chain projects
  
• Planning and realisation of relocations of procurement sources to Western Europe
• Strategic negotiation with existing and new key suppliers
• Preparation, negotiation and implementation of supplier contracts with a focus on strategic and bottleneck suppliers
• Conducting supplier audits and accompanying First Article Inspections (FAI)
  
• Active involvement of suppliers in product development and project processes (Early Supplier Involvement)
• Design and implementation of cost optimisation and quality improvement measures
• Close cross-departmental collaboration with engineering, quality, logistics, production and internal procurement

Our Requirements

• Completed technical or commercial training with further education in purchasing or supply chain management
• Sound knowledge in supply chain management and project management
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing and international sourcing
• Proven negotiation successes with strategically relevant suppliers
• Resilient, communicative, solution-oriented and implementation-strong personality
• Willingness to travel within Europe, travel activity > 40%
• Assertiveness, negotiation skills and intercultural competence
• Fluent in German and English, ideally Portuguese
