You enjoy developing SAP solutions – but also want to understand and help shape what they run on? With us, you combine both: half ABAP development from classic Dynpros to RAP and Fiori, and half operation and further development of our SAP system landscapes. This dual role makes you a sought-after interface between development and operations.
This is your task:
Development (approx. 50%)
- Development and maintenance: You work on SAP software solutions from ABAP (Dynpros, ALV) to RAP-based applications with UI5/Fiori frontend
- Product further development: You bring new features into our existing products and optimise them
- Project support from A to Z: From requirements analysis through concept creation to implementation and introduction – you are involved throughout
- Support in tender processes: Effort estimation and technical consulting are also part of your responsibilities
- Operation and administration: You manage our SAP system landscapes (S/4HANA) in daily business – including monitoring, error analysis and troubleshooting
- Installations and maintenance: System installations, kernel and support package updates, upgrades, system copies and client administration are part of your daily routine
- Transport and release management: You are responsible for STMS, transport routes and ensure clean, traceable transitions between development, test and production systems
- Authorisations and security: You maintain role and authorisation concepts, take care of security notes, certificates and secure system connections
- Performance and stability: You analyse bottlenecks at system, database and application level and derive targeted optimisations – together with the development team in which you also work
- Automation and processes: You help to standardise, automate operational processes and continuously further develop our internal development and operational processes
- Trends and innovations: You engage with new technologies – from S/4HANA migration paths to cloud operating models – and actively contribute your knowledge to the team
What you bring with you:
Technical – Development
- Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or Computer Science
- Several years of experience in SAP development with ABAP
- Creation of Z-reports, selection screens, Dynpros and ALVs
- Enhancement technologies (BAdIs, Enhancements, SMOD/CMOD) as well as form development with AdobeForms (SmartForms an advantage)
- Debugging and performance optimisation (SAT, ATC, ST12, ST05)
- Initial experience with S/4HANA (development with ADT, CDS views, AMDP, SQLScript)
- Nice-to-have: Fiori, RAP, OData, abapGit, BAS/VSCode as well as older technologies like SAP Workflow, SOAP services, IDocs
- Practical experience in operating SAP systems (NetWeaver AS ABAP, ideally also S/4HANA)
- Confident handling of central Basis tools: STMS, SM21, ST22, SM50/SM66, ST02/ST06, DB02, SM37, SNOTE, RZ10/RZ11
- Knowledge in user and authorisation management (SU01, PFCG, SU53, SUIM)
- Experience with installations, updates and system copies (SWPM, SUM, SPAM/SAINT)
- Basic knowledge in database and operating system administration (SAP HANA, Oracle or ASE; Linux and/or Windows)
- Advantageous: SAP Solution Manager or Focused Run, SAP Cloud Connector, SAProuter, SSO/SNC, certificate management, scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python)
- Basic knowledge in FI modules (e.g. FI-AR, FI-CA)
- Excellent German skills in spoken and written form, English and French skills advantageous
- Independent working style, self-motivation and solution-oriented thinking
- Carefulness and sense of responsibility when dealing with productive systems
- Enjoyment of new technologies and innovation projects
- High team orientation and communication skills
- Willingness to participate in an on-call/maintenance window rotation (plannable and shared within the team)
