To complete its team, the Computing and Research Support Division (DCSR) of the Computer Center (Ci) is looking for an image analysis and machine learning specialist for the Faculty of Biology and Medicine research.

Your activities
In your activities, you will be required to:
- Provide support for the FBM and the UNIL community for large-scale image analysis needs
- Maintain contact and collaborate with the Computing and Research Support Division (DCSR), staff with similar functions in other faculties, and the Research Support Network (RSR), to ensure consistency of decisions with available services, as well as pooling of skills and resources when appropriate
- Participate in teaching HPC practices related to image analysis at UNIL and raise awareness among research groups in this field
Your profile
To complete our team, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
- A Master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent diploma. A PhD in bioinformatics or computer science would be a plus
- Professional experience related to the development of image analysis and Machine Learning tools
- Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work completely independently. Ability to interact with multiple research topics and take into account the needs of research groups. Ability to collaborate and respect teamwork
- Experience in scientific programming for large-scale datasets and Machine Learning as well as in various programming languages enabling quantitative image analysis (Matlab, C, C++, python).
- Broad knowledge of image analysis and manipulation tools and experience in 3D and 4D image analysis as well as structure segmentation
