About the job
You take on the operational and personnel management of our restaurant and develop the area together with the head chef and the gastronomy management. In particular, the following tasks belong to your area of responsibility:
- You lead, accompany and develop the restaurant and service team.
- You are present in daily operations, actively participate and are a passionate host.
- You actively shape the transition from the previous self-service concept to a personal service for guests.
- You play a significant role in the preparation, introduction and opening of the new restaurant concept.
- You ensure a professional and warm à la carte service in the restaurant.
- You ensure a smooth service process and high guest satisfaction.
- You plan and coordinate staff deployments based on demand and sales.
- You conduct regular employee, development and feedback discussions.
- You recruit new employees, accompany their induction and promote a constructive team culture.
- You train the team in the areas of service, sales, host role, beverages and product knowledge.
- You develop the food and beverage offerings together with the kitchen and gastronomy management.
- You contribute your beverage knowledge and especially expand the non-alcoholic offerings creatively and contemporarily.
- You ensure professional advice and active additional sales.
- You are responsible for goods orders, inventory management, stocktaking and goods checks together with the head chef.
- You keep an eye on sales, personnel costs, cost of goods and other operational key figures and initiate appropriate measures.
- You ensure compliance with our quality, hygiene, safety and service standards.
- You handle guest feedback professionally and use it to further develop the offerings.
- You work closely with the kitchen, gastronomy management and other areas of FORTYSEVEN.
- You take responsibility for events, group occasions and special gastronomy offers.
What I wish from you
- A completed training in gastronomy or hotel management, ideally supplemented by further training in leadership or business administration
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable role
- Experience in the operational and personnel management of a service team
- Very good knowledge of classic à la carte service
- Confidence in organising and managing demanding service processes
- Good knowledge of beverages, wine, coffee and modern beverage concepts
- Particularly strong interest in high-quality non-alcoholic drinks and current developments in this segment
- Experience in duty planning, inventory management, stocktaking and cost control
- Enjoyment in training and further developing employees
- A good understanding of business management contexts and key figures
- Very good German skills; additional language skills are an advantage
- Good user knowledge of MS Office and ideally experience with cash register and personnel deployment planning systems
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Your salary
For this role, a gross annual salary of CHF 78,000 to CHF 88,400 (100% workload) is envisaged. The exact classification depends on your training, professional and leadership experience as well as the additional skills you bring.
If you do not meet all the requirements, we still look forward to your application. In this case, your starting salary may be slightly below this range.
