About the job
From 1 November 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for you as
HVAC Service Technician / Caretaker (80-100%)
We are a team of 8 technical specialists who jointly manage, maintain and develop the infrastructure (25 buildings, 10 vehicles, various operations) of the Wagerenhof Foundation.
With us, you apply your HVAC expertise where it can have a long-term impact: at a fixed location rather than travelling daily from customer to customer. In addition to professional work in the HVAC field, general caretaking duties are also part of your daily work and provide variety. Your work directly contributes to ensuring that our residents and employees feel comfortable in a functioning and safe environment.
A meaningful task, technical variety and a predictable working day - that is what awaits you with us.
Wagerenhof
The Wagerenhof Foundation (affectionately called "Wagi") in Uster has been a permanent home for around 250 people with multiple cognitive impairments for over 100 years and offers supported workplaces for over 50 employees with support needs. We are a recognised, non-profit institution with a social mission. With a needs-oriented range of residential and care places as well as various day and leisure activities, we promote the quality of life, participation and self-determination of our residents. The size and village character, which allows space for encounters, are special features of Wagerenhof. For employees with diverse backgrounds and expertise, the Wagerenhof Foundation is an attractive employer with versatile development opportunities. For apprentices, Wagerenhof is a competent training partner.
For this, we entrust you with the responsibility:
- Professional and proper completion of tasks in the field of building services (HVAC) and building automation and further development of the area
- Professional and proper maintenance / preservation of buildings (building contact person)
- Collaboration with external specialists (especially heating, sanitary, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical etc.)
- Taking on on-call duties on site (evenings, weekends) and via on-call mobile phone at night in rotation with the 8 team colleagues
What you bring:
- Solid HVAC experience (service, installation), training is an advantage
- Respectful interaction with people with disabilities and employees with support needs
- All-rounder in the craft sector
- Good knowledge of IT applications and building automation
What makes us the place for your work:
- Modern, interesting, versatile HVAC infrastructure
- Meaningful tasks
- The appreciative, human interaction
- The motivated Technical Service team
- The predictable working day
