About the job

For a successful, internationally oriented Swiss SME in mechanical and plant engineering, we are exclusively seeking a committed individual. In this role, you will ensure that production and assembly are supplied with the required materials at the right time.

Your tasks

• Procure technical components, parts and materials
• Independently initiate, process and monitor orders
• Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations
• Negotiate prices, delivery dates and conditions with suppliers
• Check order confirmations and consistently follow up on outstanding deliveries
• Take appropriate measures early in case of bottlenecks and missing parts
• Ensure material availability for production and assembly
• Work closely with engineering, production and other internal departments
• Keep article and supplier master data up to date in the ERP system
• Actively further develop purchasing and procurement processes

Your profile

• Technical basic training with commercial further education and experience in purchasing, procurement or dispatching
• Alternatively, a commercial basic training with purchasing experience in a manufacturing company
• Good understanding of technical products and industrial processes
• Confident manner and skill in negotiations
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working
• Assertiveness as well as enjoyment in collaborating with various stakeholders
• Very good German skills; English skills are an advantage
• Good IT user skills and experience with ERP systems
