Trainee Employee (MAiA) Youth Work 60 %
These are your tasks
With us, you are not simply "in training", but actively involved in shaping things from the start. As a youth worker MAiA, you take responsibility together with your team for the youth centres in Adliswil and Langnau am Albis. You maintain contact with young people, support them in developing and implementing their own ideas as well as in their leisure activities, and advise them on individual issues. In doing so, you promote their social integration.
You will be introduced by your practical trainer to all areas of youth work in Adliswil and Langnau am Albis and can – depending on your interests – set your own priorities and help shape them.
In the open youth centre, you take on presence times and actively build relationships with young people. After familiarisation, you share responsibility for the centre's operation with the team and help shape the centre and team culture. You develop your own projects, implement them and accompany young people in their undertakings as well as in personal matters. In addition, you participate in mobile youth work and occasionally take on leadership tasks. Furthermore, you gain insights into community work as well as conceptual and administrative activities. You engage in public relations, network actively in the city of Adliswil and the Horgen district, and regularly attend team meetings, reflection sessions and training discussions.
What we expect from you
You are in training (FH or HF) in the field of social work, social pedagogy or socio-cultural animation and are eager to make a difference.
You approach people openly, have a sense of humour and at the same time the necessary clarity and attitude in dealing with young people. You contribute your own ideas, take responsibility and keep an overview even in lively situations.
You enjoy working independently, are at the same time a team player and enjoy developing both professionally and personally.
Our offer to you
With us, you take on responsibility well supported and can really make a difference. You implement your own projects, contribute your ideas and gradually develop your very own priorities.
You become part of a committed, well-coordinated team that values open, supportive and humorous collaboration. Joint events and honest exchange are part of our culture.
Youth work is embedded as one of four specialist areas in the Youth and Community Department. This allows you to benefit from an exciting interdisciplinary exchange in the socio-cultural field and have the opportunity to actively help shape cross-departmental cooperation projects.
At the same time, you gain solid practical experience in open youth work and develop both professionally and personally.
