The Department of Civil Engineering is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of the cantonal roads as well as hydraulic engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The canton’s road infrastructure includes over 1,450 civil engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights of up to 90 metres and tunnels up to 3 kilometres long. The challenges posed by the nature of our mountainous canton in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. We are looking for the Road Construction Department from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement a draftsman-constructor specialising in road design
Your area of responsibility
- Creating designs for main road projects in the study phase using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Updating the planning bases in the field of road construction
- Supporting project managers in drafting aspects of partial tasks in projects
- Checking third-party plans for completeness and presentation
- Testing and installing updates of CAD programmes
What we expect from you
- Completed apprenticeship as a civil engineering draftsman EFZ
- Several years of professional experience in road design
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an advantage
- Willingness to learn and initiative
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork
