Equally significant is its commitment to continuing education and services for teachers and school leaders, as well as its practice-oriented research, development and evaluation.

The Secondary Level II Institute trains teachers for teaching at grammar schools, specialised middle schools and vocational baccalaureate schools. Students are supported in their professional development and trained in teaching and their work within the school institution. The course content covers three areas: educational and social sciences, subject didactics and practical vocational training.

In educational and social sciences, students acquire skills in the areas of didactics, pedagogy, psychology, education policy as well as information and communication technologies, establishing the connection to teaching.

Your tasks

• Developing and delivering learning opportunities in the ESW2 module in collaboration with lecturers in digitality (from spring semester 2027)
• Designing learning opportunities in the ESW1 module "Fundamentals of Didactics" (from academic year 2027/2028)
• Advising and assessing students in the ESW area
• Supervising students during the introductory internship
• Active participation in institute events
• Contributing to the further development of the Secondary Level II degree programme
• Optionally: Taking on learning offers in the area "Integration and Extension"

Your profile

• Doctorate in Educational Sciences, Pedagogy or Psychology
• Teaching diploma for grammar schools
• Several years of teaching experience at the target level
• Expertise in areas relevant to the tasks
• Higher education didactics training or teaching experience at tertiary level
• Research experience desirable
• High commitment, independence and ability to work in a team
