Modern companies need data platforms that are reliable, scalable, and usable by business units. This position combines data engineering, analytics, and software development and offers the opportunity to technologically advance a demanding data landscape.
Responsibilities:
Building and further developing central data pipelines for a modern analytics platform
Transforming and integrating data from various source systems
Developing high-performance ETL processes with Pentaho and SQL
Designing robust data models for reporting and analytical applications
Further developing a structured data warehouse architecture
Implementing data quality mechanisms and automated validations
Monitoring productive data processes and systematic error analysis
Developing and optimising reports and data-driven evaluations
Supporting the expansion of self-service reporting and modern BI concepts
Automating build, test, and deployment processes
Integrating data solutions into existing application and system landscapes
Collaborating with agile engineering teams on architecture, planning, and implementation
Shaping technical standards around data engineering, testing, and deployment
Continuously optimising performance, stability, and maintainability of the data platform
Qualifications:
Solid professional experience in data engineering or development of data warehouse solutions
Very good knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle
Experience with ETL development and data integration
Practical knowledge of data warehouse architectures and data modelling
Knowledge of Data Vault or comparable modelling approaches
Experience with Pentaho or comparable ETL platforms
Interest in business intelligence, analytics, and self-service reporting
Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD
Experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is an advantage
Quality awareness and experience with automated testing
Enjoyment of agile collaboration and interdisciplinary development projects
Willingness to actively try out and apply new technologies and methods
